Lorraine: Gorgeous and very hard to find 8mm White Opal Ball Stud Earrings on solid 925 Sterling Silver posts. Made with synthetic White Opal these are a gorgeous addition to any wardrobe and an ideal gift as the birthstone for October. For those that aren't aware of it, synthetic Opal is actually preferred to natural opal for jewelry items. Natural Opal is not particularly well-suited to being used in jewelry since it's a relatively soft gemstone, breaks easily and has to be protected from sunlight and many chemicals.

Great looking earrings

I bought these for my girlfriend for her birthday and she loves them. The opal looks much better than in the picture I think, especially in the right light. They look very nice on her and are the perfect size (as she tells me). I wasn't sure about the size when I ordered them but I guess I got it right.

Exactly as pictured

I just wanted to write and thank you for the earrings--I was truly impressed. They're absolutely beautiful and just what I was looking for.
