Lorraine: This version of the Lorraine is a beautiful and very hard to find 6mm diamond cut faceted Australian Fiery White Opal Screw-back Earring set. The white background of the opals glitter with flashes of a multitude of colors from blue to green to pink, making them a gorgeous addition to any wardrobe and make an ideal gift for those with an October birth date.

For those that aren't aware of it, created Opal gemstones are actually preferred to natural opal in many jewelry items and designs. Natural Opal is not particularly well-suited to being used in jewelry since it's a relatively soft gemstone, breaks easily, requires ongoing care and maintenance, and has to be protected from heat, sunlight and many chemicals.

Took awhile to get, but my daughter enjoys them. These were a replacement set as she lost one of the originals and wanted the same kind because she liked them so much.
